Our latest author to have success is Catherine Chapman and her series of Children’s books Posh Pear and the 8 others, all on health eating for kids.
Catherine has sent her book Posh Pear to quite a few book fairs and always got great interest, but never found exactly what she wanted. Now at the last book fair in China a publisher has picked up her whole series and not only that, they will do the merchandising, figurines, cups, key rings, and a host of other promotional items.
If she had given up on her first book fair none of this would have happened.
You just never know what they are looking for at book fairs, and when the right publisher comes along it can happen for you.
Certainly pays to be persistent and have that belief you will succeed.
